Dark Magus Returns

Chapter 1110: Result of the Pack Broken

Chapter 1110: Result of the Pack Broken

It opened with ease, swinging into the main throne room. A large, open, wide area with a red carpet that led all the way up to the throne itself. There, the man they were waiting for was sitting, his face resting on the side of his hand.

Next to him, two guards in almost pristine gold and silver armor, standing present.

"You guys are a bit slower than I imagined," the young emperor said. "I had imagined you to just come crashing down into the ceiling and to be done with it."

"I told you that was a good idea," Impress complained. "Let\'s just finish this."

Impress went to charge forward, but Kawak held out his hand, stopping her. "Don\'t be a fool, can\'t you tell that he was expecting us this whole time, and yet even though we have eliminated a large amount of his guards, taken over countless high-ranking officials in cities all across the land, he still shows no fear."

"I don\'t like it," Cicle added. "The air of arrogance around him, it really reminds me of him."

When Cicle spoke, there was only one person he was referring to, a person that both of them knew very well. Which was what was worrying him more than ever, the air that surrounded this person.

"What, not what you were expecting with all the fuss you made? I knew you were coming; I have made some preparations for you, though?" The emperor stated, lifting his arm.

Mystical lights almost looked to appear, five of them in total, reaching out in front. The lights were blinding, along with the energy which caused all of them to flinch and look away. When they all could see again, now they could see five men standing there instead.

The men were all dressed slightly differently. All in types of cloth but arranged in a different style. Some of them had cloth tied around their waist, holding their clothing together. Some had what looked like leather belts, and others had strange pointed hats and large rounded ones as well.

It was a mixture of a group, but in particular, what was special about them was this radiating energy coming off their bodies. Allowing the warriors to almost see an outline around them, the energy itself was a giveaway to what they might just be.

"You..." Kawak said. "You are Divine warriors, you have descended down to Pagna!"

It had come as a surprise to Kawak for a number of reasons. When the clans were in trouble, no Divine warriors had come down during his era. He had never met one before. So why did they come now, because they were attacking the civilians?

Divine warriors were meant to be Pagna warriors, those that had taken the same path as them, so why were they siding with the civilians of all things?

"It seems one of you has figured it out," a man in the center walked forward, his eyes looked completely white as if he was a blind man, yet powerful energy still surrounded him. "We are Divine warriors, having come from another realm.

"The pact has been broken. We are ashamed that warriors such as yourselves, after all of this time, would break the pact," the man stated.

"Break the pact? The pact was already broken before by another, so why have you come down now instead!" Impress shouted.

The warriors looked at each other for a moment but didn\'t exactly answer.

"Why are you protecting the civilians in the first place, just because of some promise? Aren\'t you meant to be warriors like us!" Impress shouted; she was showing a lot of the frustration Pagna warriors felt during these times.

"You have no idea of what goes on in the Divine realm!" the man shouted. "The past of Pagna, what has been done for us, or why the world is set up the way it is, to create the Divine in the first place."

"You wish to break everything with this. It will break everything, and it will all fall into turmoil. We are here to stop it before it does."

Impress was constantly twisting her hand around the handle. They had completely avoided the question from before, of why they didn\'t descend during the Dark Magus\'s attack, what was different between what was happening now and what had happened back then.

What was with the favoritism? In the first place, she had always assumed if something was going to happen, then it would take place after they had eliminated the emperor, not like this, before he was even attacked.

"We will give you this chance now since you all seem to be powerful warriors on the path of the Divine," the man said. "You are all to turn around; if not, you will have to face the five of us. You are outpowered and outmatched."@@novelbin@@

Kawak was gritting his teeth. It was a situation he didn\'t expect to happen. He thought, just like Cicle, that they might have some type of hidden secret, but not for other warriors to get in their way.

They couldn\'t turn back; if they went back to Henio and said they had failed, then what would happen? If he asked for powerful items to help face them, he knew Henio would tell them that they were useless, that there was no longer the need for the help, and eliminate him on the

spot.

There was only one choice.

"You old fools have spent too much time in the Divine realm, not paying attention to what has been happening on the real Pagna," Kawak said. "You should know that down here isn\'t the same as when you are up there, your powers are limited here, so I can cut off your head just as easily as you can cut off mine!"
